Chaparral Dog Park is the premier dog park along the Scottsdale Greenbelt and the one I recommend most often.

My Shetland Sheepdog Lucy has been coming here since she was a puppy. She knows exactly where we are when we pull into the parking lot. The moment the gate opens she takes off running and usually finds a group of dogs to play with within seconds.

What makes Chaparral special is its size and layout. The park is divided into Active Dogs and Passive Dogs areas, which works much better than simply separating dogs by size.

Vista del Camino Dog Park is much smaller than Chaparral, but that's actually part of its appeal.

If your dog doesn't enjoy large crowds or you're looking for a quieter stop along the Greenbelt, Vista is worth considering.

The dog park itself is modest, but the surrounding park is beautiful. You'll find lakes, walking paths, open grass, disc golf, and plenty of room to continue your outing after leaving the fenced area.
